I love my new Garrett machine starting with the awesome army style, The control panel is set out in a way that makes the machine really easy to navigate without having to look down at the display too much. has a great depth up to 18 inches using the 12″DD coil. And the best feature is fully waterproof and all terrains.

The ATX is easy to setup and run. Pinpoint mode makes finding where to dig your plug under that giant coil easy to do. Iron check is handy and works if you know you’re dealing with nails. I have so far found several handfuls of the older sharps ringtails and more shotgun brass that I care to count. The depth on the bullets is pushing 18-20 inches. They sound strong and with the led indicators you can tell they are deep. I’ve only the stock double d and it is a dream at pinpointing. Nearly 90% of the targets I dug were in the smaller inner coil area when using the pinpoint feature. It’s not a light machine but if you adjust the shaft length properly you can hang your arm straight down and swing comfortably. It also comes with a sling if you need it.
