Are you looking for groundwater or hidden cavities up to depths of 250 meters (820 feet)?
The OKM GeoSeeker is a professional geoelectric water and cavity detector that measures soil resistivity and displays your scanning data in incredible 3D graphics. It is a mobile and easy to operate, this geoelectric detector is designed and manufactured in Germany.
The GeoSeeker uses a geoelectrical measurement procedure based on Schlumberger method to read soil resistivity. Based on this ground resistance, the detector is able to locate groundwater reservoirs, gravel, and groundwater level, as well as cavities, caves, tunnels. Therefore, the geophysical detector can be deployed as a water or cavity detector at the same time.
The hardware components of the GeoSeeker are completely controlled by a modern Android tablet. All commands and measurement results are transferred wirelessly over Wi-Fi. Using the pre-installed software application, simply select one of the three compatible scanning modes:
GeoSeeker hardware components are completely controlled by a modern Android Tablet PC. All commands and measurement results are transferred wireless via Wi-Fi. Using the pre-installed software application, you simply select one of three supported scan modes:
Active Scan (Accurate)
In the Active Scan mode, GeoSeeker utilizes two electrodes to inject electrical power into the underground soil. Two additional electrodes are measuring the potential difference (fall of voltage) at specific scan points to calculate the final resistivity value.
This mode is used to detect underground water deposits, hidden caves or even impervious layers and barriers within the underground soil. In active scans, you will be able to define a specific depth range in that you are going to conduct your measurement. So you will define a starting and ending depth between 5 meters (16 feet) and 250 meters (820 feet).
Active Scan (Quick)
This scan mode is a quick version of the Accurate Scan. It is also injecting electrical current into the underground and measuring the potential difference (fall of voltage) to calculate the resistivity of the ground.
Passive Scan
In the Passive Scan mode, the GeoSeeker only utilizes two electrodes to read the natural occurring voltage of the underground (no electrical power is injected into the underground). This mode is used to detect underground flowing water only.
The GeoSeeker water detector graphical user interface is available in the following languages:
Deutsch, English, Français, Spanish, Italian, عربي, Λληνικά, Türkçe, 中文, Pусский, Nederlands, فارسی.
GeoSeeker provides simple step-by-step instructions to help you complete the measurement. Simply follow these illustrated instructions until your measurement is complete. After the measurement is complete, a 3D graphical representation of the measurement values is created and displayed on your Tablet PC screen. Some color adjustment options are provided to optimize the 3D graphical display of your underground water, gravel, and groundwater level (shown in bluish colors), as well as cavities, caves, tunnels, chambers, or waterproof layers (shown in reddish colors).
After completing the measurement, a 3D representation of the measured values is displayed on the tablet screen. Various color adjustment options allow optimizing the visualization of detected underground water deposits, water-bearing gravel and groundwater level (shown in blue) as well as cavities, caves, tunnels, chambers or impervious layers (shown in reddish colors).
Thanks to the major update of Visualizer 3D Studio in 2023, GeoSeeker measurements can now also be displayed, optimized and analyzed in greater detail in the 3D software. The new render view Volumetric 3D is a major milestone for GeoSeeker users.
