BLU3 Nomad Mini Dive System
Nomad Mini is the newest addition to the BLU3 product line. Our engineering team has accepted feedback from users of Nemo and Nomad to combine the best features of each, so Nomad Mini delivers the sweet spot between portability and performance.
Here are a few of the most exciting design considerations:
- The DiveBoost™ Kit allows for use of more than one battery at a time so you can dive for longer without swapping the battery. Running with multiple batteries also increases the air flow rate and depth rating!
- Uses the same battery as Nemo so that existing owners of Nemo can upgrade their dive system without the need for new batteries. Also, these Nemo/Nomad Mini batteries are even easier to travel with than Nomad batteries because they are less than 100 Wh.
- Allows for optional use of either the Flotation Tube, Dry Bag Float, neither, or both, depending on your situation and conditions.
Nomad Mini has similar portability specs of Nemo but with added depth performance. Like a miniature version of Nomad!

Nomad Is Best For Experienced Divers
Whether you're diving Nomad Mini or Nomad, make sure you take the BLU3 Online Dive Training Course before diving. We strongly recommend diving with a Spare Air (add on from the dropdown) and getting SCUBA certified to further your diving skills.

What allows Nomad Mini to be so compact, energy-efficient, and responsive is our patented
Smart Reg™ – the first of its kind!
Here’s how it works: A silicone diaphragm inside the Smart Reg™ moves when the diver breathes. A waterproofed sensor measures the diaphragm movement – it then sends an electronic signal which triggers the compressor to pump air at exactly the time and speed that the diver is inhaling.
Designed for deeper depths, Nomad Mini utilizes a custom compressor built by our team in Florida, USA. This compressor has been tailored to meet the requirements of deeper dives with higher pressure and flow rates. Our compressor can handle saltwater intrusion without damage, making maintenance simple and hassle-free.
Nomad Mini is surrounded by a foam shell that provides inherent buoyancy and ensures the unit is unsinkable. For added buoyancy, stability, and visibility, Nomad Mini can be used with the Dry Bag Float or the Floatation Tube.
Nomad Mini is powered by a custom 72wh lithium-ion battery pack that is swappable and rechargeable. The pack and connector are IP67-rated to handle saltwater environments. It's allowed in carry-on luggage on most airlines and a charge-level indicator is located right on the battery for easy monitoring. With the DiveBoost Kit, divers can add an extra battery and increase dive time and maximum depth from 10 feet to 15 feet. Be sure to grab a few extra packs so that you can dive all day long!
Note: Newer batteries are required to power Nomad Mini on a single battery. If you are powering Nomad Mini with older batteries, you will need to use multiple batteries and the DiveBoost Kit. Batteries shipped with Nomad Mini were made in 2023.
Dry Bag Float or Flotation Tube
The Dry Bag Float and Flotation Tube provide buoyancy, visibility, and waterproof storage for Nomad Mini. The Dry Bag Float has two air reservoirs that can be inflated by mouth to provide 44 lb of buoyancy, and it also features a waterproof compartment for storing dry items. The Flotation Tube is another option for added buoyancy and visibility during your dive with Nomad Mini.
Nomad’s 25-foot
air hose is the perfect balance of weight, flexibility, and durability. The coils prevent the hose from kinking and make it super easy to handle. Bungee the hose up for easy storage. (Hose is longer than max depth to allow for more scope, making Nomad easier to tow while diving at max depth).

Limited Warranty
Blue3 Nomad Mini comes with a One Year Limited Warranty.
The maximum depth with 1 battery connected is 10 feet or 3 meters. The maximum depth with 2 or more batteries, while using the DiveBoost Kit, is 15 feet, or 4.6 meters. The estimated run time is approximately 35-40 minutes per battery but will vary based on diver usage.
All Users must be able to:
- Swim 200 yards without stopping, without a time limit.
- Tread water for 10 minutes continuously.
Age Limits:
- Users must be 8 years of age or older to Nomad dive, but are restricted to diving in a swimming pool only, in water shallow enough so that they can stand with their head above the surface of the water.
- Users must be 10 years of age or older to dive outside of the pool.
- Users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian supervision at all times.
